Privacy: data used by WHODL
WHODL researches public cryptocurrency evidence. This page describes the website, research tools and messaging integrations. Do not send private keys, seed phrases, passwords or private financial documents to WHODL.
Research tools in an AI assistant
The public MCP tools do not require a WHODL account. WHODL receives the arguments that your assistant sends, such as a coin name, chain, token contract or report ID. It also receives normal HTTP connection information through its hosting provider. Connecting a tool does not give WHODL access to all of your assistant conversations or files.
The tool's operational database records the tool name, request time, duration, success or failure, a bounded error code, and an unverified client-category hint. It does not record the raw tool arguments, IP address, raw user agent or your conversation in that operational table. These rows are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Hosting and network providers may maintain separate operational logs under their policies.
Name and market lookups send the requested public identity to DEX Screener. Starting a report can send the chain, contract and relevant public evidence to blockchain, market, social and AI providers. A new scan creates a public research report; the exact contract, findings and cited public evidence can appear on the website. Avoid including personal information in a token lookup.
Messaging and web chat
When you contact the bot on X, Telegram, Discord or web chat, WHODL receives the message and the identifiers needed to answer it. This can include public handles, post IDs, chat or channel IDs, user IDs, surrounding thread context and the generated response. Web chat uses a derived identifier from the connection's IP address. A hash is a pseudonymous identifier, not a guarantee of anonymity.
Requested watches store the coin and delivery destination. The conversational service can retain relevant preferences and research context for continuity. A person's memory is scoped to that person; it is separate from shared notes about public research. A generated answer may be processed by the AI service configured for WHODL.
Public evidence and providers
Reports can include public wallet addresses, balances, transfers, verified swaps, project pages and public social posts. A wallet address can become identifying when combined with other information; public availability does not make every use anonymous. A wallet relationship is not a claim about a person's identity.
Cloudflare hosts the Worker, database and stored research. WHODL also uses blockchain RPC services and explorers, market aggregators, social-data services and AI model services. Public Telegram conversation can be read through a separate read-only reader. Each provider receives the information required for its part of the request and has its own data practices. OpenAI or another assistant host handles the conversation you have with that host under its own policies.
Retention and requests
Published reports, evidence snapshots and the wallet research graph are retained to support citations, corrections and historical comparisons. General chat and delivery records do not currently have one uniform automatic deletion period. Inactive personal memories are scheduled for expiry after 90 days; other operational records follow their service-specific cleanup rules. Do not interpret the MCP log's 30-day period as a promise that all WHODL data is deleted after 30 days.
For a data-access, correction or removal request, use the support page. Include a report link or the channel where you contacted WHODL. Do not post secrets or private identification documents publicly. A request may require a way to verify that the affected account is yours. Public blockchain records are outside WHODL's control; correcting WHODL's presentation does not erase the underlying chain.
