Connect WHODL to an AI assistant
WHODL lets an assistant retrieve coin evidence and request a public research report. It helps answer “tell me about this coin” and “what risk indicators can you verify?” with dated findings and sources.
MCP server: https://whodlbot.com/mcp · Transport: Streamable HTTP · Authentication: no WHODL account or API key.
Public directory publication is separate from operating this endpoint. Do not assume WHODL is listed or recommended by an assistant provider simply because it supports a direct connection.
ChatGPT and Codex
Accounts that support custom MCP connections can use the server URL above. Availability and controls depend on your account and workspace administrator. See OpenAI's developer-mode documentation for current setup instructions.
The WHODL plugin packages the research tools with a focused coin-research workflow. Its public listing link will be added here after approval and publication. An installed connection can be chosen for relevant requests; installation does not guarantee automatic selection.
Other MCP hosts
The same public endpoint uses the MCP standard, so compatible hosts can attempt a custom remote connection. Follow your host's current custom-connector documentation. Host compatibility and an approved directory listing are different milestones; a host-specific installation is only verified after a real successful request.
Things to ask
- “Tell me about this Solana coin: ErvkxE8gc7EwmaQfvoGfVfcDJbVG4EcHQr3yweTkpump.”
- “What scam or rug-pull indicators can you actually verify for this contract? Explain what was not checked.”
- “Compare the holder evidence for these two contracts, and show when each was checked.”
- “Request a current report for this exact contract and chain.”
Names can refer to several coins. Confirm the chain and full token contract before applying findings to a project. A wallet or pool address is not necessarily a token contract.
Available tools
| Tool | Purpose |
|---|---|
| resolve_coin | Find exact-identity candidates for a name or ticker; clarify lookalikes |
| get_coin_overview | Read a dated project, holder and community snapshot |
| check_coin_risks | Read available findings and explicitly missing risk checks |
| start_coin_report | Queue and persist a public report on a currently supported chain |
| get_coin_report | Read a report or an existing scan's progress |
| compare_coins | Compare two exact-contract snapshots, preserving both dates |
| market_snapshot | Retrieve matching public DEX pool data and source links |
| recent_coins | List recent research reports; this is not a recommendation list |
Starting a scan writes a research job and can publish a report. The other operations read available evidence or provider data. None trades, moves funds or requires a wallet connection.
Coverage and limits
Fresh holder scans depend on the configured chain provider. Ask the tools for current support rather than assuming every recognized chain can be scanned. A saved report is not automatically fresh when it is retrieved. New scans may take several minutes and provider outages can leave partial evidence.
The assistant integration adds no daily application quota. Provider limits, service availability and existing operational safeguards still apply.
Available mint/freeze controls, holder concentration, wallet links, liquidity figures, deployer samples and website/community evidence are separate checks. The integration does not perform a complete contract audit, prove liquidity locks or certify sellability. It does not predict prices, establish fraudulent intent or certify safety.
