Can a bundled coin still run? How often bundled coins recover

"It's bundled, is it dead?" Not necessarily. Some bundled coins run hard. The useful question is how often, and what was different about the ones that did. Whodl tracks every scanned coin after the scan, so it can answer with counts instead of anecdotes.

The comparison

Whodl splits coins first seen at least a week ago by same-block supply at the first scan: the share of supply held by top wallets that bought in the same block as another top wallet, the fingerprint of a bundle.

  • "Doubled" means the peak market cap reached at least 2x the market cap at the first scan.
  • "Died" means the latest market cap is 20% or less of the first-scan market cap.

Read the rows against each other, not on their own. If bundled coins double about as often as clean ones but die more often, bundling is widening the spread of outcomes rather than capping the upside. The figures update as new outcomes land.

What the bundled coins that kept going had in common

Looking at individual reports of bundled coins that later doubled, the same things come up:

  1. The bundle sold early, into demand. Once the same-block wallets are mostly out, the cheap supply overhang is gone. A coin page shows each bundle wallet's current balance.
  2. New holders kept arriving. Holder growth outpaced the bundle's selling. See the Hype Gap for whether that growth is real buyers or just posts.
  3. The dev was not part of it. Bundles linked to the deployer behave differently from bundles by outside snipers; see has this dev launched coins before.

What to check on a bundled coin

  • How much of the bundle still holds, and whether it is moving to exchanges.
  • Whether the bundle is linked by funding to the dev or to wallets from earlier coins (the bubble map shows this).
  • The "if they sell" line: what the bundle could do to the price if it exited now. How it is calculated.

For the full distribution of bundled supply, read how much bundled supply is normal. Every coin's same-block share is on its page under coin reports, and the weekly research post in news tracks the latest week.
